MERLIN Software Announces "Pure Magic" Partner Program at Comdex Fall 2000

Las Vegas, NV - November 15, 2000 - MERLIN Software Technologies (OTCBB: MLSW), a leading provider of Linux based software applications and utilities, today announced its plans for a new global partner initiative branded “Pure Magic” at the Comdex Fall 2000 Show in Las Vegas. This program leverages MERLIN's trademarked brand “Software That's Pure Magic”^TM and extends the positive brand awareness of MERLIN's product to its partners globally.

MERLIN develops high quality applications software for the Linux operating system. MERLIN's applications operate on all major Linux distributions including Caldera (NASDAQ: CALD) OpenLinux, eServer, Turbolinux, RedHat (NASDAQ:RHAT), SuSE, Debian, Mandrake, and the Corel (NASDAQ: CORL) Linux.

At the show (Comdex Fall/Linux Business Expo, booth P-329, Sands Expo Convention Center), MERLIN is actively recruiting new partners. IDC, the premier Linux market research firm, recently reported that Linux has now overtaken Novell's NetWare as the network operating system of choice. IDC also expects Linux shipment growth to outpace all other server operating systems with an annual compounded growth rate of 28%. Total new license shipments are expected to rise to 4.7 million per year by 2004. Linux revenues are projected to grow at an annual compounded rate of 23%. MERLIN plans to exploit the global adoption and emerging business endorsement of Linux. The “Pure Magic” Partner Program leverages the growth ambitions of MERLIN and the growing number of supporting vendors for Linux technology.
