Merlin Strengthens Board With Appointment of Two New Directors

Burnaby, BC - March 26, 2002 - Merlin Software Technologies International, Inc. (OTCBB: MLSW) today announced the recent appointment of John Hectus and William Johnson to the Company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Hectus served for thirty-one years with AT&T Corporation in various senior executive positions in both domestic and international operations. After a succession of increasingly senior positions in finance, operations and strategic planning, in 1999 Mr. Hectus was appointed President, AT&T Canada Enterprises responsible for strategic direction, merger and acquisitions, investments, intellectual property and financial performance for AT&T's operations in Canada. Mr. Hectus is a graduate of Niagara University with a BA English, and of The Executive Program, University of Virginia.

Mr. Johnson has over thirty years experience in business strategy development, marketing, and engineering with many of North America's leading technology companies. Most recently he was President of Cabletron's (NYSE: CS - news), Global Network Technology Services responsible for the restructuring and sale of the professional services division. As Vice President, Non-stop E-Business Solutions and Vice President, Networks & Communications at Compaq he was responsible for integrating four niche technology providers to penetrate the networking market. He has held senior management positions at Crosscomm Corporation, IBM, Digital and Honeywell Information Systems. Mr. Johnson has an MSEE and MBA from Northeastern University and BSEE from Pennsylvania State University.
